Hm.... Still remembered that ever since kindergarten, my dad paid to let me go for drawing lessons. However, at around primary three or four, I told dad that I didn't want to go for drawing classes anymore. I didn't remember why I made this request to dad, but maybe because ever since a small age, I know that I don't have any talent at drawing/painting at all... A few years ago, I went for Chinese painting class - I think I did the Chinese painting as though I was making engineering drawings. Everything I drew were straight and tidy - no artistic sense at all. This year, out of persuasion from my colleagues, I went to try acrylic painting (similar to oil painting) and also water colour painting. So, here comes more proof that I don't have any artistic talent. These are my first acrylic paintings, copying Monet's paintings. This is what it should look like. The second one, still copying Monet's. A third one, still Monet's. The original version. This one is of Van Gogh. The teacher commented that I drew it in the style of a Christmas card, whereas this painting should reflect a very sad mood. However, the teacher only gave his comments AFTER I had finished the drawings and didn't teach me how to improve. So, I decided to stop going to this teacher's class. Here comes my water paintings:- The first one is really messy - didn't know how to control the water and the water colour just spread in whatever way they like... The second one Third one Fourth one - I did improve a little bit, right? Fifth one This is the teacher's painting - my standard is still far, far, far away from the teacher's. This final one is a portrait - it's a bit awful - don't think water colour is suitable for painting portraits.
